New Sweet & Simple Birthday Card Tutorial

While working at the fair this week, Ive had plenty of time to show others what we do, and how easy it is to put together such cute cards. Here is one of the very simple birthday cards I made...

This only took just a few supplies, and if I didnt have the punch, I could have simple cut the stamped images out.

Step #1: Cut the Marina Mist cardstock to 8 1/2 x 4 1/4. Score at 4 1/4.

Step #2: Mount the Marina Mist Polka Dot DSP that is cut 4 x 4 onto the card base.

Step #3: Stamp the cup cake bottom piece onto Very Vanilla cardstock in Baked Brown Sugar. Punch the cup cake top out of Pink Pirouette cardstock.

Step #4: Mount the piece of Pink Pirouette cardstock cut at approx. 3 x 3 1/2 onto the DSP. Then mount the piece of Very Vanilla, at approx. 2 1/2 x 3 onto the Pink Pirouette.

Step #5: Mount the cupcake pieces with dimensionals and Stamp Happy Birthday in Baked Brown Sugar...and your all done.

It's a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 sized square in Marina Mist cardstock.

Simple Thank You Cards

Recently I used the retired stamp set "Just Believe" to create a few simple yet bright and cheery thank you cards.I started by stamping the tall grass on a 2 1/2" x 5" piece of whisper white cardstock item#100730 in classic black ink item#126980.
Then I took a sponge dauber item#102892, one for each ink color, and create my colorful background in a circular motion. I used the following classic ink colors:real red item#126949, pumpkin pie item#126945, summer sun (retired), green galore (retired), marina mist item#126962, and a children's ink purple (retired). Once the colors dried, I used a Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen item#105021, to add accents to the tall grass and plants.
I then matted the whisper white piece onto the black cardstock item#121045 sized 5 1/4" x 3".
Next, I adhered the black cardstock piece to the card base. The card base is summer sun (retired) cut at 8 1/2" x 5 x 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".
And lastly, I stamped "Thank You" on a piece of whisper white that was punched with the Large Oval punch item#119855 and mounted it on a piece of only orange (retired)that was punched with the Decorative Label punch item#120907.
