One thing I can always count on when we visit Disney World is that my children have a list of "must-do" attractions—and near the top of that list every single trip is the classic Pirates of the Caribbean ride!
During our summer vacation, we once again found ourselves sailing into mysterious waters, drifting through hidden caves, and spotting all kinds of pirate adventures along the way. Even though we've experienced the ride before, the excitement never seems to fade. The anticipation while waiting in line, the cool air inside on a hot summer day, and the familiar sights that make everyone smile are all part of the fun.
That's exactly why I created this double-page 12 x 12 Scrapbook sketch. I wanted a layout that captured the spirit of adventure while leaving plenty of room for photos of those unforgettable family moments. The layered paper elements, treasure-inspired accents, and nautical details create the perfect backdrop for documenting your own family adventures.
When creating your layout, don't just include the ride photos. Add pictures of your children waiting in line, exploring the park, wearing themed shirts, or showing off those big smiles after the ride. Sometimes the memories surrounding the attraction are just as special as the attraction itself!
I also encourage you to include a little journaling. Record who rode together, favorite moments from the day, funny reactions, or family traditions that have developed over the years. These little details are often the things we forget first, and they're wonderful to look back on years later.
Summer vacations seem to fly by, but scrapbooking helps us hold onto those magical moments. So pull out those vacation photos, gather your favorite papers, and start creating pages that will keep those memories alive for years to come.

Have you ever looked at your photos and realized that while you’ve documented vacations, birthdays, holidays, and family memories, you haven’t really documented you?
That’s exactly what inspired my newest scrapbooking challenge.
I’ve decided to challenge myself to create an ABC scrapbook album all about my life and the things that make me me. From favorite foods and special places to meaningful memories, life milestones, and everyday little joys, this album will be a creative way to tell my story one letter at a time.
The idea is simple:
So instead of this being a traditional “all about me” album, it becomes a creative A–Z journey through your life.
What I love most about this idea is that it doesn’t have to be perfect, and it doesn’t have to follow one specific format. It can be:
It’s such a fun way to scrapbook the things that matter to you, even the random little details that might not make it onto a traditional layout.

See? It doesn’t have to be deep and serious for every letter. Some pages can be heartfelt, some can be funny, and some can simply celebrate the little things you love.

This is probably my biggest tip. If you want to actually finish the album, choose words that you already know you have photos for.

Not every page has to be a major life story. Some of my pages will definitely be more meaningful, like Graduation, University, or Quest, but I also want to include pages that are simply fun and personal, like favorite foods, favorite places, or little everyday joys.

If you get stuck on tricky letters like Q, X, or Z, give yourself permission to get creative. For example:
