Good Times in Bloom: A Simple & Sweet 6" x 8" Layout

Sometimes the simplest layouts become our favorites, and this 6" x 8" double-page spread is a perfect example!

When creating this layout, I wanted a design that was clean, elegant, and easy to recreate while still showcasing beautiful details. I started with a soft purple color palette and layered papers to create subtle dimension across both pages. The deep berry background provides the perfect contrast, helping the lighter elements stand out.

The focal point of this layout is the gorgeous floral die cuts that stretch across the pages, creating movement and drawing the eye from one photo to the next. I love how the flowers frame the photos without overwhelming them. A simple banner featuring the title "Good Times!" adds the perfect finishing touch and reminds us that scrapbooking is all about preserving life's special moments.

To add a little extra interest, I scattered metallic embellishments throughout the layout. These small accents bring just the right amount of shine while keeping the overall design clean and uncluttered.

One of my favorite things about working in the 6" x 8" format is that it encourages simplicity. With just a few patterned papers, a handful of embellishments, and space for treasured photos, it's easy to create a layout that is both beautiful and meaningful.
